First off, I want to say that I hate winter and hate snow more than anything else. Which makes Christmas all that more impressive of a holiday. I hope that everyone got home to their families safely and are spending time with their loved ones. On that note, here is a quick hits of things I love about Christmas:
- Sugar cookies: Look, there ain't nothing wrong with that. But sugar cookies with no frosting. Don't hide your cookies taste and glory with frosting. Let it shine sans frosting.
- Wrapping presents: Yes, I probably should be committed to a hospital for saying that. But I love seeing wrapped presents under a tree.
- Lights at Temple Square: Granted 2.3 million women are proposed to during the Temple light season; but they are gorgeous.
- Watching Die Hard on Christmas Eve: A tradition that has lived for the better part of 20 years and it is my Christmas movie.
- A clean driveway after a snow storm: Okay, not Christmas specific; but I love the look of a shoveled driveway. Especially when the neighbors looks like ass. Not to mention, you have to keep salt on that bitch or someone will slip and fall. And you know how much you can get for a slip and fall at my house? Not much, I'm pretty broke.
- Christmas Music: Pandora has made Christmas music even that much more enjoyable. More on this later.
- Family: Our family doesn't have many traditions; but our Christmas morning tradition is one I look forward to every year. Strawberry waffles with whip cream at the parentals.
- National Lampoons Christmas Vacation: nothing more has to be said here.
- Working as one of "Santa's Elves": Yes, it is often times a thankless job; but someone has to help the big man out.
So, once more; I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and to those who really aren't into celebrating Christmas; hope you have a great Thursday. And my Christmas present to all of you readers out there on the interweb...enjoy.

Now is not the time for me to be at Temple Square with the lights. I don't need to see the line of people waiting by the reflection pond waiting to propose one by one. Then again, maybe it's exactly what I need. It will remind me why I'm lucky.
Fabulous post.
